The Grüner Strom-Label offers you as a consumer:in orientation in the green electricity market: By looking for our seal of approval, you can be sure that the electricity you choose really has added value for the climate. The label sets clear criteria for the use of wind, solar or hydro power and promotes the expansion of sustainable energy. Energy providers that offer a certified electricity tariff promote the expansion of renewable energies and innovative energy transition projects with a fixed amount per kilowatt hour consumed. In this way, a total of over 1,800 ecologically valuable projects have been realized.

Why the #EnergiewendeMachen campaign?

The energy transition stands and falls with the decisive progress of the expansion of renewable energy plants. That's why the Green Electricity Label association is now sending out a signal for real progress with a targeted campaign and saying "no" to supposed green electricity tariffs that don't add any value at all to the energy transition. Much more sensible, on the other hand: green electricity that really drives the energy transition.

We face the urgent need to replace fossil fuels with renewable energy sources. Greenhouse gas emissions from burning fossil fuels are one of the main causes of climate change. This is where the energy transition comes in: the transition to clean, sustainable energy generation from sources such as solar, wind, hydro and biomass.
