Grüner Strom Label e.V. certifies green energy products. The association awards two seals of approval for this purpose: the Green Electricity Label for green electricity with added value and the Green Gas Label for environmentally friendly biogas. The association is backed by non-profit environmental and consumer associations as well as peace organizations, including NABU, BUND and the German Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union. In 2024, a subsidiary was also founded to advise non-profit organizations on the planning and implementation of climate protection measures.

So that we can continue to work effectively on our vision of a 100 % renewable energy supply in the coming years, we are looking for a Co-Managing Director in accordance with Section 30 of the German Civil Code (BGB), appointed to manage the association's business, who will take over the strategic and operational fortunes of our association in shared leadership.

Your tasks and main areas of activity are

• Together with the Co-Managing Director, you will ensure that the association remains fit for the future, that the needs of sponsors, employees and customers are heard and that the team is communicated with clearly and empathetically.
• You have technical and personnel responsibility for the Green Electricity Certification, Green Gas Certification and Communication & Marketing departments, which currently have nine employees.
• You are responsible for the strategic and operational development of these departments and support managers in leading their teams and projects.
• You represent the association to the public in coordination with the co-management, maintain networks and build new ones.
• You will be responsible for acquiring new customers for Grüner Strom-Label and will be involved in customer relationship management (key accounts).
• If necessary, you can roll up your sleeves and work with your colleagues on higher-level projects as equals.

What you bring with you:

• High level of identification with our vision and goals
• University degree in the fields of energy management, renewable energies, environmental/climate protection, sustainability or similar
• Several years of professional experience in a managerial position with personnel responsibility
• Sound practical knowledge of the energy industry/energy transition, experience in marketing and communication
• Strong empathy, motivation and teamwork skills
• The ability to implement time-critical projects quickly, purposefully and effectively while keeping the needs of employees and the organization in mind
• Ability to manage multiple teams and top-level projects in parallel
• Confident interaction with customers, stakeholders and the media
• Strategic-analytical thinking skills, entrepreneurial thinking and action
