Strong and diverse supporters

Supported by associations for environment, peace & consumers.

Leading associations from civil society are behind the Grüner Strom-Label and Grünes Gas-Label. They play a key role in shaping the criteria for the labels.

Our carriers

The Grüner Strom Label e.V. is sponsored by several non-profit associations whose purpose is to protect the environment, promote renewable energies and use energy sparingly, efficiently and in a manner that conserves resources. The quality labels Green Electricity and Green gas are the only eco-energy labels in Germany that are recommended and supported by leading environmental associations.

Through their voluntary work on the board and in the general meeting, they continue to play a key role in shaping certification to this day. Changes in the criteria, for example - the most important basis for the content of the labels - must be discussed and approved by the supporting associations.
