Project outline (max. 3,000 characters) | In a workshop lasting several weeks, the participants are taught the theoretical-technical basics of the various renewable energies. Different methods are used to adequately convey the diverse and exciting field of renewable power generation. The high importance of the embedding in socio-ecological and environmental-political areas of renewable energies will be worked out with the participants and, among other things, made tangible by means of many practical examples. The interdisciplinary nature of this workshop is also reflected in the combination of theory and practice. The participating students plan, dimension and build two self-sufficient mobile solar power stations in a practical project. By lending the mobile solar power stations to various (student) groups and initiatives on a long-term basis following the construction project, the topics of sustainability, renewable energy and the energy transition are further pushed and discussed. The generation of renewable electricity is thus brought to many students in an understandable and tangible way. By conceptualizing the teaching, respectively learning and building phase as "open space", which in this project means that although the workshop is advertised without restrictions, a focus is placed on a non-homogeneous group constellation. For example, refugees will be encouraged to participate as well as international students or even non-students. In this way, we expect the important, multidimensional illumination from different life realities on the renewables respectively the energy transition in a wide variety of social fields. |
