The Grüner Strom Label e.V. goes with his Podcast Current Up into the second round - with a double episode centered on the initiative "We're not playing!" stands. The podcast discusses topics related to the energy transition that go beyond the activities of the association. In addition to news and information, interesting interview partners have their say in each episode.

Interview partner with strong attitude

Centralized market power and monopolies or diversity of players and citizen energy? What is the state of the energy market and what should it look like for the energy transition to succeed? We discussed these questions with Gunnar Harms and Roland Warner. Together with the two guests and many other players from the energy scene, Grüner Strom Label e.V. is involved in the initiative "Wir spielen nicht mit!" (We're not playing along!) for a decentralized energy transition without monopolies on the energy market.

In the first part of the second episode, Gunnar Harms, board member of the Bündnis Bürgerenergie, is our guest. He takes a close look at the competitive behavior of RWE and E.ON and explains in an understandable and convincing way the importance of a wealth of ideas and the participation of citizens for the energy transition.

In the second part of the episode, which appears a week later, Roland Warner, Managing Director of Eins Energie in Sachsen GmbH & Co. KG. He looks at the controversial deal from the point of view of the many small and medium-sized energy suppliers who provide regionally appropriate and accepted solutions. He also points out the risks for consumers when the energy market is dominated by a few centralized large corporations.

Cooperations welcome

The next episodes will continue to be exciting. Focal topics such as "The climate crisis as a cause of flight" and "Climate protection in the care sector" are planned. Green electricity providers and civil society actors will be offered the opportunity to contribute insights into innovative climate and environmental protection projects or current energy topics.
