On April 18, 2018, the Stadtwerketag of Grüner Strom Label e.V. took place for the second time. The premises of the Continental Arena in Regensburg offered enough space for almost 30 participants with a view of the sunny soccer field. The Stadtwerketag gave them the opportunity to spend an afternoon discussing renewable energy topics.
Beforehand, an information event on the Green Electricity and Green Gas seals of approval took place in a smaller group over coffee and pretzels. There was a lively discussion about the criteria, certification and benefits of the Grüner Strom-Labels and the Grünes Gas-Labels.
At the beginning of the Stadtwerketag, Karl-Wolfgang Brunner, authorized signatory of REWAG, welcomed the participants. This was followed by exciting presentations on current energy industry topics such as blockchain and peer-to-peer electricity trading, strategies of regional energy suppliers and participation instruments in the expansion of wind energy. In between, there was time for exchange and networking.
Gunnar Braun, Managing Director of VKU e.V. Landgruppe Bayern, was also among the speakers and provided interesting ideas with his presentation on municipal utilities as a location factor.
After informative presentations and lively discussions on the subject, there was finally a guided tour of the stadium before the get-together, during which the participants of the Stadtwerketag were allowed to look behind the scenes of the SSV Jahn Regensburg soccer club.
The organizer of the Stadtwerketag was the Grüner Strom Label e.V., host and cooperation partner was the Regensburger Energie- und Wasserversorgung AG & Co KG. As a further cooperation partner, the VKU Bavaria regional group can be won.
