AWO commits to climate neutrality before 2040
The national conference of the Workers' Welfare Association (AWO) met on June 18 and 19, 2021. More climate protection activities were decided and the association commits itself to be climate neutral before 2040. In order to achieve this goal, all AWO facilities are to switch to green electricity-certified green electricity.

The migration researcher and sociologist Dr. Benjamin Schraven from the German Development Institute (DIE) in Bonn had his say on the complex relationship between climate and migration in the 3rd episode of the podcast "Strom Aufwärts". In the podcast, Dr. Schraven clarified, among other things, what the biggest existing misconceptions about the connection between climate and migration are that persist.
