BRUNSWICK BLOSSOMS

The year is progressing and summer is slowly turning into autumn. It is becoming increasingly difficult for insects to find food, especially as conventional agriculture and urbanization make suitable habitat a scarce commodity. Ten years ago, the Rühme Culture and Support Association built a nature information center complete with insect hotels and a large meadow orchard. Now BS|Energy is donating €7,000 to the association, financed with funding from the Grüner Strom-Label.
ENERGY TRANSITION ABROAD - SUPPORT PROJECTS IN BOLIVIA AND TANZANIA

Germany still has a long way to go to achieve its climate targets, but the energy transition is picking up speed. The PV cap has fallen, the coal phase-out has been decided, and for the first time, the amount of electricity from renewable energies is mathematically sufficient to supply Germany only with green electricity for more than half of the year. A not inconsiderable share of this is attributable to the more than 1,400 energy turnaround projects that were financed with Grüner Strom-Label subsidies totaling more than 75 million euros.
UTILIZING LOCAL HEATING POTENTIAL - ENERGY TRANSITION PROJECT SHOWS WHAT IS POSSIBLE

For six years, parts of the community of Lupburg in the Upper Palatinate have been supplied with 100 percent renewably generated local heating. This is made possible by an energy center designed to serve the system. In this way, 655,200 kilograms of CO2 can be saved annually.
