So slowly we are on the home stretch of the year. The leaves are falling and it is getting colder outside. One question becomes more and more present: Are we prepared for winter? The German gas storage facilities have already reached the target of 95% utilization well before the scheduled deadline of November 1. Furthermore, the gas levy was overturned at short notice, so that this burden is no longer imposed on taxpayers. It now remains to be seen whether we will manage to meet the EU's gas savings target of 15%.
To achieve the gas savings target, everyone has to pitch in - because there is potential for savings in everyone's everyday life. After all, we are seeing more and more progress and creative projects in the expansion of renewable energies. For example, Stadtwerke Münster recently placed an order for the installation of a heat pump for the port power plant with the aim of making the district heating supply climate-neutral. And yet there is still a long way to go before the energy transition is complete. So it is all the more gratifying that the support component of the Grüner Strom Label e.V. has been extended to new areas. Every Green Electricity and Green Gas certified tariff promotes the cross-sectoral energy transition.
