The promotion of an ecological energy supply is the guiding principle and vision of the Grüner Strom Label e.V. Logical consequence is that in the criteria of the two quality labels Green Electricity and Green gas criteria for the decentralized, nature-compatible expansion of renewable energies are anchored. The certified Green electricity- and Biogas products This sets them apart from the broad mass of supposedly green energy products, as the issue of natural compatibility hardly plays a role in most products.
As part of the Dialogforum Naturverträgliche Energiewende, Grüner Strom Label e.V. conducted a non-representative online survey in 2017. About 250 participants took part and were asked about the compatibility of nature compatibility and renewable energies.
Back at the beginning of June, we published the first partial results of the survey on the topic of solar power generation. Now follow the results for the second section, which deals with wind energy and wind turbines.
In general, the majority of respondents believe that wind turbines and nature compatibility are 'fully compatible' or 'rather compatible'. For on-shore turbines and small wind turbines, as many as 80 percent share this view. At two-thirds, agreement with off-shore plants is somewhat lower.
The high level of agreement indicates that wind turbines, with appropriate foresight in planning and implementation, are well suited to produce green electricity in a manner that is compatible with nature, similar to photovoltaic systems.
