1st Municipal Utility Day of the Grüner Strom Label e.V.
27. April 2017 | Constance
1st Municipal Utility Day of the Grüner Strom Label e.V.
Participants at the Stadtwerketag held lively discussions about regional energy transition
On April 27, 2017, the Stadtwerketag of Grüner Strom Label e.V. took place in Constance for the first time.
For one afternoon, 30 representatives of regional municipal utilities and energy suppliers, citizen energy cooperatives as well as energy service providers discussed renewable energy topics and projects from a regional perspective. The focal points of this year's event were:
- Practical experience of the Constance tenant electricity model
- Battery storage as a white-label product for municipal utilities
- EEG 2017: Tendering system in practice
- Electromobility: Experience with products and services
In the evening, a get-together for informal exchange took place.
Organizer was the Grüner Strom Label e.V., hosts and cooperation partners were the Constance public utility. As a further cooperation partner, the VKU Regional Group Baden-Württemberg can be won.
The 1st Stadtwerketag was aimed at representatives of the energy industry such as (regional) energy suppliers, citizen energy cooperatives or energy service providers.
You will find the detailed program of the Stadtwerketag here.
Dr. Norbert Reuter, Managing Director of Stadtwerke Konstanz, welcomes the approximately 30 participants to the first Stadtwerketag of Grüner strom Label e.V. in Konstanz.
Energy suppliers present projects for the local energy turnaround.
Lively discussions on cooperation opportunities and the future of a networked energy industry.
The energy cube of the Stadtwerke Konstanz offered enough space for the almost 30 interested people from the energy industry, who thus had the opportunity to spend an afternoon discussing renewable energy topics.
Prior to this, the southern green electricity label holders discussed the new criteria catalog in a smaller round. The focus was on the topics of sales and customer support programs.
In the afternoon, the group expanded to include additional representatives of regional energy suppliers and municipal utilities, citizen energy cooperatives and energy service providers. In addition to time for free exchange over coffee and pretzels, there were exciting presentations on the topics of digitalization in the energy transition, electromobility and the tendering system of the EEG. On the occasion of the decision on the Tenant Electricity Act of the Federal Government, the presentation on the practical experience of the tenant electricity model of the Stadtwerke Konstanz by Gordon Appel was received with particular interest.
The managing director of Stadtwerke Konstanz, Dr. Norbert Reuter, and the managing director of VKU Landesgruppe Baden-Württemberg, Dr. Tobias Bringmann, were also among the speakers and provided interesting ideas on the topic of energy transition.
The Stadtwerketag of the Grüner Strom Label e.V. is a series of lectures especially for regionally oriented suppliers of green electricity and energy providers who want to position themselves in this area.
The Municipal Utility Day was also used to poll opinions for the dialog process 'Naturverträgliche Energiewende' (Nature-compatible energy transition) of Grüner Strom Label e.V., which has been running since 2014. The aim of this future process is the transformation of the energy sector towards an ecologically and economically sustainable energy supply. The Green Electricity Label serves as an interface between environmental associations and the energy industry. Result of the survey: 90 percent of the participants consider the integration of nature conservation aspects in renewable energy projects to be relevant. At the same time, the respondents advocate a balanced consideration of social, ecological and economic concerns.
The organizer of the Stadtwerketag was the Grüner Strom Label e.V., the host and cooperation partner was the Stadtwerke Konstanz and the VKU Landesgruppe Baden-Württemberg could be won as a further cooperation partner.

Dr. Tobias Bringmann of the VKU Baden-Württemberg regional group calls on municipal utilities not to let themselves be left behind in the energy market, but to become active.

Energiewende2Go Event: Electricity Market
The price of electricity is at a historically high level. This is primarily due to the war in Ukraine and the lack of gas supplies from Russia. However, the price increase also affects those who have been purchasing electricity from renewable energies for years.
